"Saskia is an outstanding dressage instructor. She is very knowledgeable and is great at explaining the necessary rider biomechanics to improve the overall performance of the horse/rider.
She also provides useful training tools and exercises to assist in the development of the necessary skills being taught. I highly recommend Saskia and look forward to receiving further lessons."

Saskia is an amazing dressage coach. She has helped me with young green horses to 4 star eventing horses. Saskia isn't just an excellent coach, she is an asset to you and your horses to perform the best as possible!

Saskia has a fantastic approach when teaching horse and rider, always helping to get the best out of your horse. Her training style is not robotic at all as she truly understands that not all horses are the same therefore each lesson is very individual, the skills and techniques she teaches are ones that feel very achievable when at home training by yourself. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, making her a great coach for not only dressage riders but anyone wanting to up skill their knowledge and riding abilities- Hayley R.M.
I would just like to take this opportunity to say that I have known Saskia Ostermeier for 23 years. She has coached me in basic dressage on a clyde cross horse, {which was not our finest discipline} and genuinely had the patience to help and improve both horse and my riding. This enabled me to go out and compete in 1 and 2 day eventing with so much confidence, admittedly not top level but nonetheless, reasonable (90cm-1.mtr) without dreading my dressage test.
At today, I'm 71 years young, we caught up again with Saskia, as we're both in the South Island now, and 1 lesson with Saskia, me riding my big 17.2hh mare...Magic again.
Saskia, not me, however, she reminded me of the skills needed and I practiced at home, then entered a local ribbon day, "Champion" first time out.
Not quite HOY dressage but just as wonderful a feeling.
'Couldn't have achieved that on my own, and to think Saskia is kind enough to spend time with basic level riders then onto lessons/coaching with PSG.,GP., Olympic riders and horses, with the same attitude and caring for all to improve and reach their personal goals.
Incidentally, i have had the luxury too of being coached, in the past, by the best in s/jumping and eventing, names you would know, so I feel justified in my opinion.
I can't wait to see her again to keep improving even now.

Want to Organise a Course in Your Area?
Because I’m fully mobile and self-contained, I’m always open to visiting new locations around New Zealand. If your area isn’t currently on the calendar, feel free to get in touch!
Since I travel with my home, I can easily stop at more places along the way—this means I can offer courses for smaller groups too. All you need is a minimum of 4 riders for 2 consecutive days (4 lessons each day) to make a stop worthwhile.
